Foreign Policy
Foreign Policy
King Louis XVI didn't know much about Foreign Policy, nor was he extremely involved in it. Louis supported America's colonies fighting against Great Britain, because they were an enemy of France. He also took out major international loans and didn't raise taxes and caused the dept to go through the roof. Religious Uniformity One goal that King Louis XVI had that he achieved was the Edict of Versailles. He put into action the Edict of Versailles on November 29th, 1787, which made it so non-Catholics were allowed to practice their faith openly. He was very religiously tolerant. |
